Respondent: Mrs Karen Finn

Representation Summary:

Is this actually the council’s responsibility? I recognise that we wouldn’t want employers to leave, but it should be part of the company’s own business planning as to whether or not the site they choose meets their current and anticipated future needs

Representation Summary:

we are good at creating buildings BUT not the environment where businesses can flourish - the latter needs more attention and not just traditional business support (BEST is good) but effective collaborative networks etc.
Problem area is retail when it is shop front orientated rather than online- we need affordable (as in affordable housing) retail units that are adjacent at worst to main foot flows
