Development Management Development Plan (DPD)

43. Are there any other issues regarding water recreation activities that you think the Council should consider?

Representation ID: 701

Received: 09/08/2010

Respondent: Natural England

Representation Summary:

Natural England is concerned that Issue DM10 - Water Recreation does not include any reference to the importance of biodiversity interests and, in particular, to issues of loss of inter-tidal habitats and the risk of increased disturbance to birds.

With this one exception, Natural England considers that the Development Management DPD addresses all of those issues which are within our remit and which are relevant to the scope of the DPD; to a level of detail which is appropriate for the Issues and Options stage of the process. We do not, therefore, wish to comment further at this stage.
