Design and Townscape Guide - Refresh 2009 (Consultation Draft)

Representation ID: 81

Received: 04/06/2009

Respondent: Mrs Joan Peters

Representation Summary:

Historic Environment.
Too much of what was interesting and reflected Southend's past has been destroyed to make way for substandard buildings.
The perfect opportunity was missed to utilise the old EKCO buildings in Priory Crescent. It was in a prime location and could have been turned into museums holding the artifacts at present located in the Park, plus the Saxon King artifacts when they are returned to us. The Beecroft could also possibly be located there. The old Air Raid Shelters could also have been an attaction. What exactly is proposed for this site.?
